Notice on the Use of AI

This English version is provided for reference only. The Japanese version is the official text, and it shall prevail in the event of any discrepancy between the two.
Shinome uses AI in parts of its compliance checking and income and expenditure organization. Please be sure to review the following before using the Service.
Article 1 (Purpose of this Notice)
Shinome uses AI (artificial intelligence technology) in some of its functions. This notice is provided so that you understand in advance what the AI does and the limitations of its responses and suggestions.
Article 2 (Functions that Use AI)
AI is currently used in the following functions.
- Compliance and legal: answering questions about the Public Offices Election Act and the Political Funds Control Act, and presenting the underlying provisions
- Social media and communications: checking post content for points to note under election law
- Political funds and accounting: suggestions for organizing records of donations received and of income and expenditure
Article 3 (Not Legal Advice)
AI responses produced by the compliance and legal function are intended to provide general information and do not constitute legal services as defined in the Attorney Act. For legal conclusions on individual matters, or on the merits of arguments in litigation or other legal proceedings, please consult an attorney or other qualified professional. The Company does not warrant that AI responses substitute for legal advice from an attorney.
Article 4 (Not Tax or Accounting Advice)
The political funds and accounting function supports the recording and organizing of income and expenditure, and does not constitute tax consultation or tax representation as defined in the Certified Public Tax Accountant Act. For the adequacy of the contents of a political funds income and expenditure report, and for tax treatment, please consult a certified public tax accountant or other qualified professional.
Article 5 (Accuracy of AI Responses)
AI responses are generated based on information available up to the point of training and on the rules configured, and may not reflect the most recent legislative amendments or may contain statements that differ from fact. The Company endeavors to update its rules whenever laws are amended, but does not warrant the completeness or accuracy of responses. Please do not adopt an AI response as your final decision without reviewing its content.
Article 6 (Final Judgment and Responsibility)
For posts, filings, and other decisions made with reference to AI responses or suggestions, the final judgment rests with the User, and the Company is not responsible for the results. Compliance with applicable laws, including the Public Offices Election Act and the Political Funds Control Act, must be carried out under the User's own responsibility.
Article 7 (Use of External AI Technology)
The AI functions of the Service are provided using the technology and APIs of external AI providers. The handling of input data follows the Company's Privacy Policy and the terms established by the relevant provider.
Article 8 (Changes to this Notice)
The Company may change the contents of this notice in response to changes in the AI functions or changes in applicable laws or provider terms.
